My friend turned me on to this new site called
VBS.TV. Last night we watched a series called "Toxic". In "Garbage Island", the most startling of the series, we followed an independent film crew, their captain, ship doctor, and scientist, sail 3 weeks to the area of the Pacific between Alaska, Japan, and Hawaii. The currents there form a vortex, and currently the area is filled with plastic.
Garbage Island was not what I expected, and in fact the reality of it is beyond depressing.
